Sketch Up Model of Maloof Side Table

Tonight a took some time to create of model in Sketchup of the Maloof Style Side Table.  I already have the plans published in Popular Woodworking, but I find that creating a model of a project helps me think through the details.  It is kind of like doing it first in my head.  I can try things out and see how they go with out actually cutting a piece of wood.

You will notice that this model is a little different than the design in Popular Woodworking.  For instance I will use the Festool Domino to create a mortis and tenon joint on the legs instead of dowels.  The only reason for this is that I have everything I need for the Domino.  The model is lacking some detail still, such as rounded corners.   And I will be adding the dowel pins on the sides of the legs for looks.  When I get a little more time I will go back and update the model with these details.
